BOOK REVIEW:A DROP OF YOU

GENRE: Romance
PLOT: This book revolves around the life of Karma,Ghazal and Diana,their love, friendship, jealousy and how a poisonous seed of doubt sown , can change their life forever.
    "The thing that stood out in this book was it's writing style,It was so good that, it's lyrical,funny,cute, poetic, philosophical and overall it's the best. But it'll be  difficult if you are a beginner, especially in the beginning. Apart from being a novel,the characters from this book shares their thoughts and feelings as poems,so if you love poetical read this one would be a delightful treat. But I felt like,the first few pages were little drag and i found it difficult to concentrate but then as the story progress trust me you'll hooked on to this book and can complete the book in one sitting.
        The Characters and their emotions were beautifully portrayed that we can feel that too along with them. Unlike most of the novels,the author screens everyone's perspective,which help us understand each character more and attach to them,most of the time they were relatable too.It was a beautifully written heart breaking yet a must read,I would 
say!"

FUNFACT: At first I highlighted the lines and poems I loved,later I realized,if I continued to do so I had to highlight the entire book...The writing was that good

BOOK REVIEW:THE WITCH OF PORTOBELLO

GENRE:Fiction
PLOT:This book follows the life of Athena,originally named Sherine Khalil,her learnings and teachings of who she really is and The MOTHER,not her birth or adopted mother but the Mother you come to know once you read the book,her spirituality and her death.

               "Starting from the cover,it is such a pretty cover and at the beginning itself it is mentioned that instead of putting it like a biography,Athena's life events were described from different people's perspective.That style of writing was really good and it really helps the story to move in a flow.The writing style in this book ended up more in the philosophical side,So you'll really enjoy the book if you love reading philosophical writings.I felt like that is because i took more time to complete the work and it totally worth it.
                The character of Athena and her beliefs and practices were well written.We get to know about her every phase of life,Birth,Adoption,Marriage,Motherhood,Learner,Teacher,Leader till her death and the best thing about the book is that every page would have something to teach you or make you think about something you could've never thought .Seriously,every word in this book is a gem,for example,the answer given by Athena to the question, What is Happiness will make you question what you thought of happiness all your lives and after you finished reading this book,you would definitely love to Reread this book again♥️"
               "Everything,absolutely everything on this earth makes sense,and even the smallest things are worthy of our consideration.."

RECOMMEND:Definite yes,if you've already read Paulo Coelho and enjoy his Philosophical writing style.
    If you are going to read this, be ready with your highlighters and sticky notes...you'll need them a lot!

BOOK REVIEW:MASTER OF THE GAME



NAME OF THE BOOK: Master of the Game
NAME OF THE AUTHOR: Sidney Sheldon
YEAR OF PUBLICATION:1982
GENRE:Thriller
PLOT:This Novel revolves around the four generations of McGregor eventually changed to Blackwell family and their business Kruger-Brent Ltd , also the lives of the family members as Kate Blackwell being the centre.
        
  "The title definitely do justice to the storyline.It starts with young, talented, aspiring Jamie leaving his hometown in  search of diamonds and how he established his own company Kruger-Brent Ltd.Then his daughter Kate, Married to a very determinant And tirelessly working young woman with her never ending love towards Kruger-Brent Ltd,who married a Blackwell.Then it talks  about her son Tom and then about his twin daughters.
             I personally liked the prologue of this book, making me who are those characters and what was she talking about,which as the story goes on will be revealed.One of the bizarre things about the book is that whenever you started hating a character,there would be another character,you would hate more.But the more you hate the characters the more you love the book at the end(to understand and experience ,this have to read this book).It also touches upon the  racial discrimination and violence happened at that time.It's not so much of a thriller but definitely a great read.Finally this book would teach the readers, how far one could go for revenge or to fulfill their passion and how much this extreme passion can affect one's life."

FUN FACT:It also has one sequel mistress of the game by Tilly Bagshawe,which continues with the children of Eve and Alexandra,the Blackwell twins.

BOOK REVIEW:INKREDIA

NAME OF THE BOOK: Inkredia(Luwan of Brida-Book 1)
NAME OF THE AUTHOR: Sarang Mahajan
YEAR OF PUBLICATION:2017
GENRE:Fantasy,Thriller
PLOT:  Luwan,a simple,village boy and his sister Meg starts their journey to escape from village officials for not paying tax , which take its pace when they are chased by Dark forces, for things which both Luwan and Meg are unaware of.

"Starting from the cover,' A burning pendant' perfect for this novel ,also a Quote from the book makes it more apt.At the back of the cover, a map showing entire Region of Inkredia and the Towns and Villages in it,makes  it interesting for the readers and helps in understanding the context and regions mentioned later in the book.The writing style of the book is simple but elegant.This makes the readers hooked on to the book and making it a perfect page turner.It is among one of the books which can be read in one sitting and feeling sad that it ended so soon and waiting for the next book to come out.
From the prologue to epilogue,every chapter has its magical element.Being it a magical book or magical beings they will amaze the readers. Luwan obviously is a brave young lad but his sister Meg was so brave and her lover for his brother was so amazing.Their journey with different friends introduces the readers to new characters whom everybody will love.  Entirely this book was one amazing fantasy filled adventure by an Indian author.This book is perfect for every age group and everybody will love this book.This book don't have any romance in it,since it is unnecessary for the plot and I appreciate that so much because romance was not stuffed on the book just so it will have some romantic element."

FUN FACT:Luwan of Brida is the first book in the Inkredia series and the second book is titled as The Castle of Tashkrum will be published soon.

It is a fact that most people are not aware of.Yes, Death is peaceful but life is not.Then why are we expecting it to be peaceful all the time.Hard times wil come and go,but continuous eternal peaceful can only be acquired after death.So,dont strive and worry for the hardships you have.Stay peaceful because you have life ,it may be harder but you have one 🌻

BOOK REVIEW :IF TOMORROW COMES




NAME OF THE BOOK:If Tomorrow Comes
NAME OF THE AUTHOR:Sidney Sheldon
YEAR OF PUBLICATION:1985
GENRE:Crime Fiction
PLOT:This Books revolves around the journey of Tracy Whitney,a soft,beautiful,intelligent,young woman who transformed into a strong and intelligent woman after being tricked and jailed by a gang,responsible for her mother's suicide and left by the man she loved.

"Starting from the cover,i can't resist telling that it is such a beautiful cover.The two rolling dices depicts the unexpected tragedies happened in Tracy's life.The title,I think no other title would able to be this perfect for the plot.We never know what tomorrow will bring and what tomorrow will have for you,This title explains it all.The writing style is so good.The characters were well written with its twists and turns. Right from the page one,it will make the readers wonder what was going to happen and to wish Tracy luck in whatever she does.
The tragedies she faced in the jail sometimes made me slightly uncomfortable and then the transformation would definitely amaze you and leave a smile on your face.I  can go on and on about this book.This one was my absolute favorite from Sidney Sheldon.It is definitely a page turner,apart from the fact that  its 500 pages long it was worth single sitting finish."
🎔The male protagonist Jeff ,a charming and witty young man will definitely steal your heart girls!!!
RECOMMEND: DEFINITELY YES(Especially if you love a good con and revenge)

  • This book is made into a mini series in 1986 in English.
  • 22 female Kottayam, a malayalam flim was inspired from this novel ,which was later remade and dubbed as Malini 22 Palayamkottai in Tamil and Ghatana in Telugu.
  • It also has one sequel Chasing Tomorrrow written by Tilly Bagshawe.
