NAME OF THE BOOK: The Year I met you:Can someone else make you see your own light?
NAME OF THE AUTHOR: Neha Singh
YEAR OF PUBLICATION:2019
GENRE: Romance
"The language of the book is simple. The writing style of the book is really good. The best thing about the book is how the characters and the emotions they are going through are portrayed well.
This book starts with Kalindi, going through a really tough time after her breakup, which is getting worsened by her Mom's constant comparison and complaint rituals, fight with her best friend Aanya,Her poor scores, his disinterest on the subjects she was taking up in college. Suddenly things started to fall in place after Sameer entered her life.
This story not just about romance. Its more than that. It goes deep into the feelings and behaviours, her anxiety post breakup. It was really heart breaking to read the struggles of Kalindi. This book deals with stuffs which are relatable to everyone in one situation or the other. But towards the end it was heartwarming. Still I felt like somethings were abrupt like while meeting each other, both Sameer and Kalindi they felt like they knew each other before or something like that and also Sameer seemed to know more details about Kalindi. I expected some kind of explanation to these. Overall it was really a good read."
