BOOK REVIEW:THE YEAR I MET YOU:CAN SOMEONE ELSE MAKE YOU SEE YOUR OWN LIGHT.

NAME OF THE BOOK: The Year I met you:Can someone else make you see your own light?

NAME OF THE AUTHOR: Neha Singh

YEAR OF PUBLICATION:2019

GENRE: Romance

"The language of the book is simple. The writing style of the book is really good. The best thing about the book is how the characters and the emotions they are going through are portrayed well.
This book starts with Kalindi, going through a really tough time after her breakup, which is getting worsened by her Mom's constant comparison and complaint rituals, fight with her best friend Aanya,Her poor scores, his disinterest on the subjects she was taking up in college. Suddenly things started to fall in place after Sameer entered her life.
This story not just about romance. Its more than that. It goes deep into the feelings and behaviours, her anxiety post breakup. It was really heart breaking to read the struggles of Kalindi. This book deals with stuffs which are relatable to everyone in one situation or the other. But towards the end it was heartwarming. Still I felt like somethings were abrupt like while meeting each other, both Sameer and Kalindi they felt like they knew each other before or something like that and also Sameer seemed to know more details about Kalindi. I expected some kind of explanation to these. Overall it was really a good read."

BOOK REVIEW:SPIES LIES & RED TAPE

NAME OF THE BOOK: Spies, Lies and Red tape

NAME OF THE AUTHOR: Amit Bagaria

YEAR OF PUBLICATION:2019

GENRE: Political Thriller

"Starting from the cover and title of the book, there are apt for the storyline, especially the title. The language of the book was simple. The writing style was not so captivating, especially at the beginning of the book. This book starts with the prime minister of India being kidnapped from her trip to Pakistan and it follows the life of different spies of different countries around the world. At first I found this boring since it has too many political details but as the story progress,I was hooked to the book. This book reflects the importance of Spies and their lies.  Before the prologue, the author had also included some information regarding the historical context of this book, making it easy to grasp the concept of the book."

NAME OF THE AUTHOR: Shruthi B S

YEAR OF PUBLICATION:2019

GENRE: Fiction

"The language of the book is simple. This book starts with Harsha, a jovial, care free man infected with a deadly amoeba's life and how it changes people around him (in a good way). This book was short and simple yet deep. It's more like a Novella since it's under 100 pages.I first thought the book was just about romance, but it was more than that.It got philosophical at times. It also dealt with Love, friendship, moving on.Even though I cried reading this book ,the ending was so heart warming!"

BOOK REVIEW:MY SENIOR GIRLFRIEND

NAME OF THE BOOK: My senior girlfriend.

NAME OF THE AUTHOR: Yash Sharma

YEAR OF PUBLICATION:2019

GENRE: Romance

"Thetitle of the book is perfect but I'm not sure of the cover. The language is simple and a bit informal. The writing style is good and it's engaging. This book starts with Sanam sharing his true life story with the author and it was Sanam's story that we'd get to read. This book is a first book in the girlfriend series by the author. It is more of a short story and a really quick read. The story starts of like a cliched romance but then turns out to be unique and also teaches not every story have a happy ending and it's okay to have such ending!"

RECOMMEND:YES,A Quick read!

BOOK REVIEW:LAYLA A CONSTANT BLUR

NAME OF THE BOOK:Layla a constant blur
NAME OF THE AUTHOR:Sahil Bhambri
YEAR OF PUBLICATION:2019
GENRE:Fiction

The language of the book is really difficult for me and also the writing style is quite complicated. Most like of the characters in this book were odd and complex, especially in the beginning. As you go on,you'll get used to it.
This book follows the life of Nakin,a Philosophy professor and Grace, who is more than what everyone sees her & Thamin and Winter.Layla  was Nakin's dead girlfriend and I really found her character a blur.I couldn't able to understand her much. But her character reminded me of "Athena" from "The Witch of Portobello".This book was quite confusing, especially at the beginning parts and where new characters were introduced but then it was clear. One really need to focus while reading this to grasp what is going on. At times it also gets philosophical and has Mythological references.I didn't like the Character of Erisha.Thamin and Winter is my Favourite!
RECOMMEND:No,if you are a beginner.Yes,if you enjoy reading difficult language.
